Financing Your Education
At Mitchell College, your dreams for a quality education can become
a reality. The Mitchell College Office of Financial Aid, located in
Henry Hall, exists to assist students in obtaining funding to reach
their educational goals. Each year the Mitchell College Office of
Financial Aid awards and administers millions of dollars in financial
aid to eligible students. These students receive aid in the form of
scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans to make their educational
dreams a reality.
Applying for financial aid has never been easier. You can apply for
both federal and Mitchell College need based aid by completing the the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This application
establishes your level of eligibility for federal and state grants,
Mitchell College need based grants, and federal loans and work-study
programs. You can apply on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. In most cases students will need to supply parental information as well as their own.
FAFSA applications can be completed for the 2010-2011 academic year
between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011. Many types of financial aid
are awarded on a first-come/first-serve basis. Some types of aid are
limited in funding, so apply as soon as possible after January 1 of
each year. Estimated income tax data is permitted for completion of the
application.
Mitchell College's school code for Federal Financial Aid is 001393.
